12 Days of Advice: Day 6

Success isn’t a result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire.

12 Days of Advice: Day 3

Today’s advice is from a few days ago from TUT – The universe talks.

There is no scorekeeping.
Everyone lives each day for him or herself, no matter what they did.
No one owes anything to anyone, no matter what happened.
And from this, what I hope you most get, is that whatever you do next, you do it for the joy it brings you.
Rock on,

12 Days of Advice: Day 2

For my actor friends, this one is for you. My wonderful DP/cinematographer intern gave me this note while helping me with a video audition.

“It’s not about how good of an actor you are, it’s about the right actor in the right role. And that’s why the best actor doesn’t always get the part.” – KS

So act your pants off, and then let it go.

12 Days of Advice: Day 1

I know the 12 days of Christmas begins on Christmas day, but this is “12 Days of Advice” so I’m starting whenever I damnnnnn please. December 1st because it feels right.

I’ve been seeing and overhearing some amazing insights lately, so I’m going to list out my finds for 12 days in a row.

Day 1:
Artist Teresita Fernandez’ Commencement Speech. She gave this speech a few years ago, but it’s a classic and can be applied to any field. Give it a listen.
